ORANGE AIRPORT, ORANGE NSW

As part of an AGL upgrade at Orange Regional Airport, Furst upgraded the electrical control system utilising relay logic. Control of Runway and taxiway lights was delivered using fail safe lux level sensors with 3 stages of intensity control (daytime, twilight, night). This provided automatic control of the intensity for the pilots according to the ambient light.

Runway Threshold Identification Lights illuminated one or two times a second were integrated into the system for approach identification.

PAPI intensity control using lux level sensors offering 6 stages of intensity control were installed.

Main Isolating Transformers were integrated into the system for runway, taxiway, PAPI and IWDI control.
