TREATED WATER PUMP STATION REPLACEMENT, KERANG VIC
The Kerang WTP is a plant with a maximum design flow of 150 L/s and a normal flow of around 100 L/s, with a clarifier with six cells, three filters, treated water storage and treated water pump station.
Furst were engaged as the electrical and control contractor to install a new Treated Water Pump Station to replace ageing infrastructure. The scope of work included supply, installation and commissioning of new equipment including cables, cable support systems, pits, instruments and switchboards including PLC, SCADA and telemetry hardware with all control aspects to provide full automation, remote and local monitoring of the new TWPS. The works also integrated control and alarming; allowing reliable and safe drinking water to be produced and delivered In summary, the key statistics included:

- 16,000 SCADA tags
- 75kW Variable Speed Drives
- Pit and duct infrastucture
- 2 x Form 3b MCC’s and 1 PLC control panel
