ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING
We best serve your production and business objectives by first understanding them. Then we take a wide angle lens and consider what options are available to you. And project installation costs, and indeed running costs, vary widely depending on the design approach taken. Achieving a reliable operation at a competitive price requires experienced electrical engineering. We offer:
- Electrical control system CAD design
- Single Line Diagrams
- Equipment and Instrument Selection
- Motor Control Centre design
- Conduit schedule development
- Cable schedule development
- Power monitoring
- Lighting design
IN-HOUSE ELECTRICAL DESIGN
Furst Electrical Services offers electrical drafting services and engineering services from our premises in Boronia, Melbourne, Victoria. The distinction between in-house electrical design and shipping this function off to a third party is critical for 5 reasons.
- Designs are traceable to AS3000 standards
- Fabrication lead times are reduced since there are no errors in the design created due to insufficient knowledge of fabrication methods and technical queries are minimised.
- Installation is more efficient because thought is put into the layout and labelling system to ensure faster installation and swift breakdown resolution
- Cost savings – there are no third parties adding to the cost. Any markups are done at no cost with quicker turnaround.
- We guarantee to hand over CAD designs in dwg format so you own your IP and have ultimate control over your machinery.
AUSTRALIAN STANDARDS
When you work with an Australian business specialising in industrial automation you’re working with the people who know Australian standards in detail. We’ll make sure you don’t incur unnecessary costs of failed electrical inspections or delays to production. Our team know electrical standards across industries including hazardous, hospitals and airfields.
LONG TERM VIABILITY
Our electrical engineers design with one eye to the future to make sure you have the functionality and capacity to meet future demand. For example, we include 25% empty space inside your enclosure to allow for future additions. We select PLC’s with the capability to grow with you. We design with inbuilt flexibility to avoid future costly upgrades.

ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING CASE STUDY
100 PERCENT BOTTLING
100 Percent Bottling needed new lines to meet demand for their water bottle contracts with Coles and Woolworths. Their existing machinery was not working for them; they had daily breakdowns and stoppages to change bottle sizes.
Firstly, we worked with 100 Percent to design a new system that was intuitive to bottle sizes so that the system could keep running. Next, we designed and fabricated a control system for a new conveyor and airveyor lines.
Not only did 100 Percent Bottling increase production, they saved 4 hours per day in stoppages.
